NICA live special 2025

NICA live special will take place for the third time on 10 January 2025!

For the third time, the concert evening NICA live special will take place on the eve of Winterjazz Köln at Stadtgarten Köln - this year at three different venues: in the concert hall and JAKI Klub in the Stadtgarten as well as in the Christuskirche, which is within walking distance.

Seven of the current thirteen NICA artists will present their current projects and music: Fabian Dudek, Felix Hauptmann, Thomas Sauerborn, Jonas Engel, Stefan Schönegg, Jorik Bergman and Emily Wittbrodt.

The partnership between Winterjazz Köln and NICA artist development has proven its worth in recent years: The two-day focus on the young, innovative improvising music scene is a further building block for the increasing visibility of musicians from North Rhine-Westphalia on national and international stages due to the creativity and commitment of its protagonists.

NICA live special is primarily organised for invited guests. Interested listeners can register for participation until January 7 at nica@stadtgarten.de.

Winterjazz Köln takes place on Saturday (11.1.) and, as always, is open to all music lovers. 14 bands with around 50 musicians will perform on three stages in Stadtgarten Köln and one in Club Zimmermanns to ring in the new concert year.

Admission to both evenings is free!
