Albumveröffentlichung: Das Ende der Liebe: PERSIST

Das Ende der Liebe releases the new album ‘PERSIST’ on 14 February
Together with his companions from Das Ende der Liebe, Thomas Sauerborn - NICA artist 2024 - will release the new album PERSIST on 14 February. Sauerborn and his three bandmates have been working on expanding their sound cosmos since 2014. Drawing on many years of musical cooperation, electronics, acoustics, improvisation, psychedelic and groove meet uninhibitedly. The band called their music ‘alien jazz’ on their last release Schne*e (2022), which was voted one of the top 20 albums of the year by GROOVE magazine.
For their new album PERSIST, the quartet expands into a quintet with dey non-binary, interdisciplinary artist:in su dance110: With effects and voice, dey complements the experimental sound palette of Das Ende der Liebe with familiar lightness.

Conceived as an alternative to our complicated relationship with time in the modern world, the music of Das Ende der Liebe addresses the tension between the increasingly demanding pace of modern life and our unconscious longing for moments of reflection and contemplation. Once again, Das Ende der Liebe on Persist allow the sounds of the individual to merge into a larger whole, playing with the listener’s perception: A saxophone turns out to be a voice, a percussion line slips out of the synthesis and a seeming choir proves to be not really of human origin.
If you would like to delve deeper into the band’s material, we recommend a visit to the band’s new homepage ‘DEDL Megaworld’. This is a digital and interactive archive that provides albums, live sets and also uncut studio material.
For a release concert, Das Ende der Liebe will be coming to NICA live on 5 June - accompanied by visual artist Lucas Grey for a fully immersive sound experience.
